YVR - Vancouver International Airport |
Official Airport Website: www.yvr.ca/guide/toandfrom Distance to Downtown: 11.8 km (7.8 miles) Annual Passenger Volume: 17.1 million (2006) |
TRANSIT FLY Review: While we at TransitFly.com can't wait to see the completion of the Canada Line Light Rail Line which should provide excellent direct airport access from Downtown Vancouver (currently scheduled for completion in 2009), there are still many airport ground transportation options operating at Vancouver International Airport that are quite good. For those heading to Downtown Vancouver the municipal government offers several public bus lines that feature frequent service and run from 05:30-02:00 7 days/ week. Passengers with more luggage or heading to outlying areas should consider the numerous airport shuttle options that are available at YVR Airport. From direct shuttle buses that serve Downtown Vancouver to coaches that serves Victoria, Washington State destination, and the Whistles / Blackcomb ski areas many good options for transit to/from Vancouver International Airport are available. |
