TRANSIT FLY Review: Much like the entire Phoenix Metropolitan area,
Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport has seen a period of dramatic growth
over the last several decades. While we at Transit Fly can't wait to see the
completion of the proposed PHX Airport Light Rail Line & Station that will serve
the larger metropolitan area (currently scheduled for 2013), there still are transit
options operating at PHX Airport that are quite good. One of those is the Valley
Metro "Red Line" Bus that serves Downtown Phoenix, Tempe, and the Mesa
area. Red Line Buses run every 15 minutes during peak times and make the trip
to Downtown Phoenix in only 22 minutes (the fare is $1.25).

*LIGHT RAIL is coming to the Phoenix Metropolitan Area with service
to the PHX - Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. This service is to be
available in 2013 and the new PHX Airport Light Rail station will be
connected efficiently to all airport terminals via a new airport monorail
people mover.**
